Ken Merson - Major Market Radio Voice Track Talent
Professional Broadcast Solutions For Your Adult Music Station
To say that my 35-year Baltimore radio “fun run” was a true honor and genuine privilege would be understating
the facts. I was the lucky hometown kid whose wish to entertain, inform and befriend a multitude of Baltimore
Metro area radio listeners came true. Memorable career stops began at Metromedia’s Full Service/AC WCBM
(1974 - 1982), continued at Scripps-Howard's legendary CHR B104 (1982 - 1986), Capitol's Hot AC MIX 106.5
(1986 - 1989), Classic Hits WQSR (1990 - 2005) under Sconnix, American Radio Systems, Infinity and CBS before
culminating at CBS’ Soft AC WLIF (2005 - 2007). Additionally, I amassed 20 years of Music Director experience
while honing my Selector expertise at MIX 106.5, WQSR and WLIF.
In response to broadcasting’s industry-wide downsizings and budgetary challenges, I launched
Merson Person Voice Tracks in January 2007 with two great Entercom Communications’ client stations - Classic Hits WOLX in
Madison, Wisconsin and Rhythmic AC SNAP 94.1 in Memphis, Tennessee. Now my time revolves around producing
daily voice tracks as well as consulting and streamlining Selector music systems with 106.3 Charlie FM in
Greenville, South Carolina, SNAP 94.1 in Memphis, Tennessee and WKTK in Gainesville, Florida the most recent.
My 2008 goal is to team with a forward-thinking programmer who is determined to enhance their on-air product
with a first-rate, major market voice track personality (full-time, part-time – anytime), Selector Music
